Sawasdee (Hello)! When work meets adventure, magic happens! The TrialX Team recently embarked on an exhilarating journey to Phuket, Thailand, for an unforgettable retreat. Our days were filled with sun, sea, and smiles as we explored the “Land of Smiles” and celebrated TrialX’s 15th birthday in the “Land of the Free”!
We kicked off our retreat with the sun on our faces and our toes in the sand. Since many of us met for the first time in person, we started with a happy chit chat and round of introductions by the beachside at JW Marriott, Phuket. We discovered amusing escapades that our youthful team members engaged in during their school days!
Learning and Growth 📚
We understand the importance of continuous learning. During company sessions, we discussed new strategies, shared insights, and celebrated our achievements. Our CTO, Chintan Patel and CSO, Paul Donnelly educated us about how we can organize our work environment more efficiently with the RASCI matrix. RASCI stands for – Responsible, Accountable, Support, Consulted and Informed. This framework helps teams assign specific roles to team members and manage projects efficiently. We also played some team building games which highlighted the importance of clear communication between each team member. It’s a reminder that even in paradise, we are committed to improving and growing as a team.
Beach Bliss 🏖️- James Bond Island
The azure waters and golden beaches of Phuket set the perfect backdrop for some quality team bonding. From water sports to building sandcastles, we made the most of our time in paradise. The James Bond Island experience was heavenly!
Thai Hospitality
Amidst workshops, demos and team building activities we were surprised with Thai hospitality that the resort arranged for us in the form of fabulous food and Thai folk performances. Khàawp khun (Thank you) JW and the TrialX operations team!
Website Building Showdown 💻
The competitive spirit was in full swing as the TrialX Team took part in a website building competition organized by our creative director, Aziz Rawat. With laptops by the beachside, we put our clinical trials website building skills to the test. The result? A flurry of innovative web designs, and a greater appreciation for teamwork.
Sweet 15 for TrialX 🎂
What’s a celebration without cake? We marked TrialX’s 15th birthday with a grand celebration along with our long-time mentors and supporters cheering us over a zoom call. As the candles flickered out, we raised our glasses in a toast to the future of healthcare innovation, with a wish for enduring success and empowering TrialX with all the strength it needs to support clinical research here on earth and in space. Cheers to a journey filled with accomplishments and advancements! 🥂🌟
Phuket Retreat 2023 was a perfect blend of work and play, and it strengthened our bonds as a team. The memories we created in the “Land of Smiles” will stay with us forever, reminding us that in the “Land of the Free,” our potential is limitless.
