As executive sponsors, we at TrialX proudly showcased our latest advancements in AI-powered patient recruitment solutions. Our team engaged with attendees, demonstrated our cutting-edge technology, and explored collaborative opportunities to further patient-centric innovations in clinical trials.

TrialX CEO – Sharib Khan on The View Panel Discussion
Our CEO, Sharib Khan, participated on The VIEW panel discussion, sharing real-world strategies for leveraging AI to improve clinical trial accessibility and patient-centricity. The panel focused on:
Empowering patients to find clinical trials using AI – success stories
Ensuring accuracy and inclusivity in AI-driven recruitment
Using generative AI to speed up study materials and improve patient recruitment
Integrating AI in recruitment to shape patient engagement strategies
Sharib highlighted the transformative role of AI in clinical trial engagement and recruitment during his talk. He emphasized how generative AI is streamlining the process of making clinical trial information more accessible and actionable for patients.
“There is no reason today, with all the possibilities, that you cannot have your study materials created in less than eight hours— ready for review.” he remarked.
“If you go and see our booth, our big picture says generated by AI, reviewed by humans. And I think that is the fundamental paradigm shift that is being enabled by this technology. And I’m really confident that by end of this year, as a study team, as a recruitment manager, you will get your protocol document, you will be able to get a live website, in multiple languages. By the end of the day, you go next morning, you come back home, you have your first reference” he assured the audience.
TrialX has already implemented AI-driven trial simplifications that have shown promising results, with major pharmaceutical sponsor promising to adopt the technology for a more patient-centric and efficient clinical trial ecosystem. Encouraging the attendees to work towards improving the overall process of patient participation and recruitment in clinical trials, Sharib said,
“I keep saying this to all people we work with, we are not competing with us, within ourselves in this industry. I always look at the space industry. I say, if before they can land on Mars, I want that we are able to solve the recruitment problem here on Earth. And I think you guys would like to participate in the challenge. Before we land on Mars, how can we solve the recruitment challenges here on Earth by 2030? Faster websites, faster recruitment, better registries, better matching. And generative AI is there. I’m excited for it.”

Industry Insights & Key Takeaways
The conference featured invaluable insights from industry experts. Ken Getz (Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development), widely regarded as a leader in patient engagement, delivered a compelling presentation. He highlighted concerning trends, including increasing patient burden, stagnant clinical trial enrollment rates, and the slow adoption of patient-centric innovations despite available solutions. Getz emphasized the need for more data to drive adoption and urged organizations to publish case studies and metrics to encourage industry-wide change.
Amongst several other clinical research organizations and big pharma, Sanofi and Pfizer shared their approaches to integrating patient feedback into trial design, while FDA representatives provided regulatory updates on improving patient involvement in research. Patient advocates such as Stacy Hurt and Liselotte Hyveled delivered inspiring talks on embedding patient engagement into company operations. They discussed bridging the gap between patient engagement and clinical operations, advocating for initiatives such as VR experiences that allow study managers to understand patients’ lived experiences.
A powerful message echoed throughout the event: Patient engagement is not a rescue strategy; it is a proactive approach. Stacy Hurt reinforced this with a quote:
“If you don’t have a seat at the table, bring a folding chair.”
The vision for the future includes every organization—CRO, sponsor, site—having a Chief Patient Officer to ensure patient perspectives are at the forefront.
