TrialX Inc. (hereby referred to as TrialX) develops, operates and maintains clinical research and health IT solutions including the mobile application, Burning Man App (the “App”). TrialX is committed to ensuring the privacy of its App users and this Privacy policy describes the efforts taken by TrialX to maintain and safeguard your privacy as our App user.
- Collection of Personal Data
The App does not require App users (referred to as “users”) to provide common identifiable information like name, age, gender, email to use the App. However, the App works by counting the number of steps a user walks/run and to get this information, the App does require the user to provide permission to read their step counts from the iOS HealthKit data storage available on iOS devices. In addition to this, a user needs to provide their Bitcoin Wallet ID to receive monthly payouts based on the number of steps they have walked
- Collection of App Traffic Data
We collect certain data (hereby referred to as “Log Data”) regarding the use of the App by users. This includes data such as App access time, date, IP address (a number which identifies which computer/mobile device is accessing a site), type of device, and other such related information. Such records are derived from our web servers’ access log files (computer files that store entries for requests made to TrialX’s servers) and this data is used for determining App usage and Traffic, a routine industry practice. Such data are used for improving App user experience by looking at data in an aggregate manner.
The App does not use Cookies or store Cookies
- Usage of Personal Information
All user data is used in ways to provide the services intended, in a manner that protects the privacy of our users. The primary use of step count and bitcoin Wallet ID is to determine the payout to be received by each App user at the end of the month. As explained earlier, Log Data is used for App debugging and user experience improvements.
- Sharing of User Information
TrialX does not sell, trade or rent to others your personally identifiable information collected in the App. TrialX will only share aggregate statistical information about App usage and step counts of the App users. This aggregate information does not contain personally identifiable information and therefore cannot identify any specific individual.
- Security and Confidentiality of Data
We take all the necessary steps to keep your data safe and secure. TrialX takes all required precautions to protect our users’ information. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to any data collected. All TrialX’s employees and agents with access to databases have signed confidentiality agreements, which forbids any use of the data beyond supporting TrialX’s working needs.
- Links to other websites
The App contains links to other sites such as the www.BlockChain.info and Coinkite.com. Please be aware that TrialX is not responsible for the privacy practices of such sites. We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of the websites we refer to in the App.
- Notification of Changes
