πŸš€ Facilitating Pre & Post-Flight Health Research Data Collection For The Upcoming Commercial Space Mission

The Polaris Dawn mission, a private human spaceflight mission, is scheduled to launch soon. While in orbit, the four spaceflight participants will conduct scientific research and collect a variety of health data to advance human health on Earth and during future spaceflights. This includes monitoring venous gas emboli, studying space radiation effects, contributing to a Biobank for multi-omics analyses, researching Spaceflight Associated Neuro-Ocular Syndrome (SANS) and more. Our team is dedicatedly working to enhance the EXPAND Polaris Dawn App to ensure seamless pre-flight and post-flight health research data collection for this mission. Learn more.

πŸ“’ PRODUCT UPDATES

The most recent enhancement to our Patient Recruitment Management Platform streamlines the follow-up and monitoring of individuals interested in joining clinical trials. It introduces automated calculation for participants’ next follow-up dates, utilizing pre-screener completion dates, site referrals, and the latest referral status. This upgrade aids sites and study teams in efficiently establishing follow-up dates, particularly for patients in the virtual waiting room previously deemed ineligible for not meeting age criteria or completing prior treatments. Learn more.

Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) remains a leading cause of long-term disability in the United States. We kicked off a unique project with the University of IOWA – a point-of-care decision support mobile application. The app is expected to optimize stroke outcomes at a population scale and reduce preventable stroke disability. Learn More.

πŸ§‘β€πŸ’»οΈ UPCOMING CONFERENCE

#DIA2024 is just around the corner this June, and we are excited to engage in discussions about the challenges facing the life sciences community. We’ll be sharing insights on our enterprise recruitment platform and remote data collection solutions. We look forward to connecting with industry leaders, regulators, government representatives, academics, innovators and more at Booth Number #1033. Schedule a meet with us here.

RECENT CURETALKS

Palliative care focuses on symptom relief and quality of life but delays in referrals impact treatment decisions. Watch Dr. Scott Halpern & Dr. Katherine Courtright of Penn Medicine discuss about the largest-ever study of palliative care and the impact of early palliative care referrals with patient advocate Jeremy Pivor. Watch here.

🧬 FEATURED CLINICAL STUDIES

Powered by TrialX

Pursuing Optimal Organisms in People with Stones (POOPS): The incidence of kidney stone disease, especially among children, has risen rapidly. The goal of this study is to determine how what you eat and drink (your diet), antibiotics you take, and the bacteria that live in your gut (microbiome) contribute to developing kidney stones. Learn more.

Healthy Volunteers Needed for MRI Brain Imaging Study: The purpose of this study is to image the brain using MRI. The brain naturally changes with age, but the causes behind these changes are largely unknown. The study team is developing new imaging technology to early detect small changes in the brain. The goal of this study is to increase our understanding of how the brain – specifically, its CSF flow dynamic – naturally changes with age. Learn more.

Using time-lapse imaging to assess embryos for genetic testing: The goal of this observational study is to discern if there is a relationship between timelapse imagery of human oocytes/embryos and preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) results. Embryos of patients that are undergoing PGT will be placed into a timelapse incubator. The data obtained by the timelapse incubator will be used in conjunction with the PGT data to determine any relationships. Learn more.

PPMI: The Study that’s Changing Everything: The Parkinson’s Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) is a landmark study sponsored by the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. It gathers information over time to learn more about how brain disease starts and changes and how to stop it. Learn more.
