In today’s Clinical Researcher of the Day, we are highlighting physician-researcher, Dr. Frit Van Rhee, MD, PHD, a Professor of Medicine and Director of Clinical Research with the Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy at the University of Arkansas. He received his medical degree from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands and his PhD from the University in London is focused on the molecular biology and immunotherapy of chronic myelogenous leukemia. He is an Internist/ Medical Oncologist who specializes in the treatment of Myeloma and Stem Cell Transplantation.

• Dr. Frits Van Rhee is the leader of Developmental Therapeutics project in the Myeloma Institute’s P01 grant from the NCI entitled “Growth Control in Multiple Myeloma.

• He is a member of the International Society for Experimental Hematology, the International Society for Cellular Therapy and the European Group for Bone and Marrow Transplantation.

• Dr. van Rhee is principal investigator on an R01 grant from the NCI, “Potentiating Natural Killer Cell Anti-Myeloma Effects.
