The TrialX Clinical Trials App enables patients and doctors to find relevant clinical trials near them and connect with the trial investigators in just a few taps. And it's FREE!

Some of the key features of the app include the following:

• Ability to search for trials matching a user's health condition, age, gender and other parameters
• Automatic filtering of search results based on the user's current location using the iPhone's in-built location services (a user can change the automatically detected zip code, if required). Or the App can be set to show results at a particular institution like Columbia University Medical Center, a feature that would enable doctors to find local institutional trials for their patients.
• Display of search results in a List view or a Map view, with the results sorted by distance from the user's zip code. The Map view also provides directions to a particular trial site.
• Enabling patients to select a trial of interest and connect with the trial personnel by using the 'Call Investigator' or 'Email investigator' buttons with all the information pre-populated for their convenience
• Providing doctors the ability to select a trial for their patient and use the 'Refer Patient' button to connect the patient with a trial investigator, right at the point of care.

The App utilizes a constantly updated database of more than 17,000 currently recruiting clinical trials from ClinicalTrials.gov, our partner CenterWatch and registered sites/investigators on TrialX.com. The App is powered by the matching and connection technology of TrialX.com

How can I find a clinical trial?

• Step 1. Using the App, you can search for clinical trials by health condition and receive results automatically filtered based on your current location (the App allows you to to re-set the location manually, if required).
• Step 2. Trials can be further refined based on treatments, trial phase and other parameters.
• Step 3. The search results can be viewed in a list or a map view.

How can I contact the trial investigator?

As you select a trial from the search results, you can use the 'Call Investigator' and 'Email Investigator' buttons to connect with the trial personnel. We even draft the email on your behalf to save you time in entering relevant information about the trial.

I am a Doctor. Can I refer my patient to the trial investigator?

Yes, you can. On the trial detail screen, there is a button labeled 'Refer patient'. On clicking this, an email box will open, containing a referral email addressed to the investigator. All you need to do is add the patient's email in the 'To or CC' field to include them in the email and establish the connection with the investigator.

Do I have to sign-up to use the App?

No. We don't require you to sign up to use the App. Additionally, the service provided is completely free.

Do you store any health information on the App?

The App only requires you to enter your or your patient's health profile for the purposes of finding a trial. However, no search information is stored on your iPhone. We only log each search request on our web servers, for the purposes of monitoring the usage and quality of our service. Only, when you email a trial investigator, we carbon copy (CC) our patient recruitment support team. This is done to aid the followup process with patients in assisting them in connecting with the investigator. The App provides the ability to remove our email from the CC field.
