London Olympics 2012: Tribute to NHS, UFO Sighting, And Empty Seats!!!

Well, the much awaited sports event, Olympics has finally gotten underway and amidst empty seats and expensive tickets, the events are rolling by.

London declared the Olympic Games open with a grand, gala opening ceremony. While the world watched, London showcased its glorious past and present. Having lived in London for quite some years, I should say that I kind of connected to the atmosphere the spectacular show directed by Danny Boyle unraveled.

The fact that Boyle decided to move away from the traditional heroes and concentrate on the practical ones, like the NHS was a totally novel concept and much appreciated. All in all, I should say the Olympics got onto a nice start. Well done, London!
