While doing my research on lung cancer and the latest happenings in the field, I came across couple of Facebook pages that seemed interesting. Most of these were of various non-profit lung cancer organizations that are working tirelessly to raise funds for lung cancer research. Their FB pages served as perfect patient platforms for discussing latest treatments and sharing knowledge about various lung cancer events across the nations. I have compiled a list of Lung Cancer FB pages that may prove to be helpful as well as informative for those looking for information, suffering from lung cancer, caregivers, family and loved ones.

Leaders of the Lung Cancer Free World is a campaign fighting lung cancer. The description of the page, informs readers that in 2012, lung cancer will kill 160,000 people. The page claims that lack of awareness is the major handicap lung cancer faces and page aimed to drag it out of the shadows into the open so that it gets lots more attention. The page was started on November 1, 2011 and aims to raise public awareness and understanding of the disease.
This page belongs to the non-profit Lung Cancer Research Foundation. The page serves as a good patient platform to know about various activities organized by the foundation. Many active contributors discuss their lung cancer treatments and experiences here. The page also has open forums asking its readers for ideas to increase lung cancer awareness.
Lung Cancer Awareness is a page started by a lung cancer survivor. She aims to help others suffering from lung cancer as well as increase awareness. Like it for all the updates of donations made towards Lung Cancer research. There is decent amount of discussion among the people who are interested.
Lung Cancer Circle of Hope, the nonprofit organization has created quite a buzz on the page by reporting latest information regarding research in the field of medicine. There are posts informing readers about the latest lung cancer research drug and clinical trials being conducted. Like the page for information regarding latest in lung cancer.
Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation is a non-profit advocacy for lung cancer. The page is quite popular with ample amount of people discussing latest in lung cancer. The page is currently promoting the Grow for the Cure’s fundraising game. Latest information regarding other fund raising events for lung cancer is also available here.
