The BRIDGE Study For Effectiveness Of Bridging Anticoagulation For Surgery

The BRIDGE Study is currently enrolling patients for Bridging Anticoagulation in patients who require temporary interruption of Warfarin Therapy for an elective invasive procedure or surgery.

The study is aimed at determining the possible benefits and harmful effects of bridging anticoagulation. Sometimes during surgeries doctors switch patients from warfarin to heparin while some just stop the warfarin. The study would determine which of the strategies are best for preventing arterial thrombotic events (ATEs).
