The advancement of care for Hepatitis C is dependent upon successful completion of clinical trials (also called clinical research studies). At the beginning of 2011, one clinical trial is being conducted in Orlando. These five clinical trials were being conducted at five site across Florida state.
- Study to Determine the Safety and Effectiveness of Antiviral Combination Therapy to Treat Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Infected Patients Who Have Previously Not Been Treated With Standard of Care
- Safety and Antiviral Activity of IDX184 in Combination With Pegylated Interferon and Ribavirin for 12 Weeks
- An Observational Study of Peginterferon (e.g. Pegasys)-Based Direct Acting Antiviral Triple Therapy in Patients With Chronic Hepatitis C Genotype 1
- Telaprevir in Combination With Peginterferon and Ribavirin in Treatment-experienced Black/African American Subjects.
