1. Do you have heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding?
You could have Uterine Fibroids (or simply Fibroids). This condition effects many women and can cause excessive menstrual bleeding, pain and fullness in the abdomen and other symptoms.
The purpose of this clinical trial is to demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of a new treatment for Fibroids. This treatment is based on Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) of the fibroids using the Halt System. This method reduces/eliminates the fibroids through high energy heat waves. You may be eligible to participate if you have the following In this study, patients who have symptomatic uterine fibroids will have laparoscopic surgery in which intra-abdominal ultrasound will guide Radio Frequency ablation of uterine fibroids using the Halt System. The Halt System uses Radiofrequency energy to treat the fibroid through a special treatment probe. Women who elect to participate in this research study may receive: 2.
